Our Approach
At Scarnecchia Chiropractic and Wellness our goal is to provide the highest quality of care in a friendly, caring, and efficient environment. It is for this reason all sessions are hands-on and one-on-one with your doctor.
We believe patient education is a crucial aspect of care. We not only want to help alleviate your pain/condition, but improve function and decrease the likelihood of recurrence. The more you know and understand your condition the more effective we can be at achieving this goal together.
Evaluation & Assessment
At your first visit we will perform a comprehensive evaluation to determine the dysfunction or root cause of your pain/condition. Depending on your needs, examinations may involve any combination of the following:

Complete Health History

Functional Evaluation

Neurological Examination

Orthopedic Assessment

Soft Tissue Palpation/Evaluation

Joint Motion Palpation
Note: In most cases x-rays are not required to begin treatment. X-rays are only recommended when clinically necessary for proper diagnosis and treatment of your symptom(s).
Report of Findings
Once completed with the comprehensive evaluation you will receive a detailed explanation of all findings. Treatment options based off of these findings will be presented and discussed to develop a plan of action.
Treatment
In most cases, treatment will begin during your first appointment. All treatments are hands-on, one-on-one with your physician, and tailored to you. We treat a wide range of conditions, and to do so, utilize a variety of therapies in addition to joint manipulation. See our services page for more information about our therapies.
Helpful Tips for your First Appointment
What should I wear?
Comfortable and loose-fitting clothing are helpful. Bringing clothes to change into is certainly an option.
Will there be paperwork?
Yes, be prepared to fill out the intake forms upon arrival. Doing so in office allows us to answer any questions you may have, and should only take a few minutes.
What should I bring?
Please bring any x-rays, imaging, or other reports you may have. These will be returned, but may be helpful in diagnosing and/or treating your condition.
How long will it last?
Your first visit will last approximately 1 hour. Follow up appointments are 30 minutes for chiropractic care and 45-60 minutes for acupuncture.
